The core narrative of the pavilion was the Cyprus Video Game Industry Report 2025 — the first ever measurement of the industry we came to Cologne to represent.
Cyprus had never had a country pavilion at gamescom. In 2026, for the first time, the island's game industry — 400+ studios that have been quietly growing for years — showed up under its own flag. The pavilion was powered by CYGMA and its partners.
Three days of meetings at our 25 m² booth on the developer side — and Cyprus took the stage:
The night before the show opened, we gathered partners and friends of the delegation at Früh — tasty food, proper Kölsch, and activities with prizes. The Cyprus way to start gamescom week, at full house.
78 square metres of Cyprus in the heart of the business area: studio stations, meeting space and the Games from Cyprus brand overhead. The shared stand carried every delegate company through three days of the expo.
The pavilion was powered by CYGMA — the national association of game developers in Cyprus. Founded by industry leaders, CYGMA is the voice of game development on the island: it represents studios to government, universities and business, and brought the country to Cologne for the very first time.
The companies that went to gamescom with us — and the games they brought to the pavilion. Some titles were shown on our demo stations only, ahead of their public announcement.
The organisations and companies we are grateful to — they supported the delegation and made this dream come true.
Preparation for gamescom 2027 is already underway. The submission form for the next delegation — and the delegation's participation in other industry events — will be announced here soon.
